In 1967, the first time I went to this attractive guy's apartment, he cooked dinner for the two of us then started teaching me how to play bridge. I was a little surprised. "Isn't this a game for four people?" I asked. "Yes, but I want to teach you the basics." Later, when we were seriously dating, I asked him about that night. He said, "Well, I had a feeling you were going to be special in my life and I knew I could never marry a girl who couldn't play bridge." I said, "You mean it was a COMPLIMENT?"
We celebrated our 53rd anniversary last May and we still play bridge!
