I sent my photo to you in a separate email. I am the one in the glasses and I am playing with bestie bridge buddies. Cecilia, Laurie and Tara. Cecilia told me she was learning bridge and inspired me to go to a supervised play session at our local bridge club where I met Laurie and Tara. Now we have a weekly game where we kibbutz and discuss what we think the correct bids are.

I started my bridge journey by learning the basics online from Sylwia McNamara, owner of Bridge Wizdom. I wanted to learn more and joined the ACBL. I credit the league to helping me get to my current level. Whenever I am able, I participate in the Community Games and the free lesson. (6–7:30 pm for the games and then a free Zoom lesson immediately afterwards) The lessons are taught by Linda Green in Florida and her way of explaining concepts resonates with me. In addition to the community games I play duplicate a few times a month at the Bridge Deck in White Plains, NY.

The Community Games with Lesson are great resource but a difficult time if you live on the East Coast. I started playing the 0–20 pt game but am no longer able to participate now that I have over 20 points. I currently play in the 0–50 Point game but am not able to play and learn as much as I would like due to conflicts with the time. Additionally, if there could be a similar learning experience to those with over 50 points, it would be a valuable resource.
