Obsessed with Bridge

Hi, this is a photo of me and my partner Thomas Levanduski who is only a few points away from the next level himself.

My name is Jim Reed, and about a year and a half ago my husband, Thomas Levanduski, after a skiing accident, decided to take up the safer (physically at least) "hobby" of bridge. I was reluctantly dragged along to my first bridge class which was a lesson on doubles so I didn't have a clue what was going on–I couldn't even hold all 13 cards! Eventually thanks to 2 great teachers, Marilyn Hart and the late Judy Schulman, and a mentor (we need more mentors to get newer players!) I not only got the hang of it but also became obsessed with it!

I've made a lot of new friends over the past year and it's fun sharing stories of great and disastrous hands with everyone and I look forward to improving my game and meeting new players in the future.

So far my partnership and marriage to Tom has survived almost 2 years of bridge so that's a good sign!
