Letter from a Player

She became an NABC Master playing in Gold Rush Pairs

Dear Mr. Munoz,

Thank you for your recognition of my new ACBL status.

For several months, I was .77 Gold Points short of achieving Advanced NABC Master and was looking forward to attending the Nationals in Montreal in July in the hope of garnering those needed points. When the Pandemic hit and Montreal was cancelled, as well as all other Regional and Sectional in–person tournaments, I, like other ardent Bridge players, began regular on–line games on BBO. I have two regular Bridge partners, one being my husband, Frank, and the other my good friend Susan. When Gold Rush Pairs popped onto the Roster on August 27, Susan offered to play with me, knowing I needed some gold. Nearly one year ago to the day, she needed some gold points to achieve her Life Master status and we teamed up in Warwick. RI at the Ocean State Regional. Sure enough, she got her gold. She said she owed me, so we gave it a try on the 27th. We were thrilled with the result. That's what good friends are for!

As you suggested, I have included a photo of myself, in case you might like to print my story.

Sincerely,

Barbara Cuiffo
