Thank you Carlos –

I don't know if you remember me, but often at tournaments I would seek you out and we would compare notes on good restaurants.

I haven't been to many tournaments these past few years, even before the pandemic. I was kept busy with a new grandchild and an aging mother. When bridge dropped to the background, I never expected to make the next life master milestone, ever. But then the pandemic hit, and as the saying goes "it's an ill wind that blows no one any good". The pandemic suddenly made it easier to play. So despite now having two young grandchildren and a 97–year old mother to help care for, I was playing more bridge. BBO gave me access to partners far and near as well as robots, at any time of the day or night. And voilá, it was easy accumulate the master points for this next rank. But of course, it is the many partners, over many years who are the real heroes of this story. Each rank builds on the previous. I acknowledge you all, you know who you are.
