On Monday, January 18, 2016, 21 students from Orange participated in the Joan Gerard Winter Regional Youth Bridge Tournament in East Rutherford at the Hilton Hotel. Students from Freehold, Holmdel, Teaneck, Oradell, River Edge, Morganville, Allendale, Marlboro, and Westfield also participated in this rigorous tournament. In all, there were 48 students competing from Grades 3-12. The level of play this year has increased dramatically over prior tournaments, as students have gained experience.

Students played six rounds totaling 12 hands. Each student received a beautiful gift bundle, including a binder, stickers, paper, a pencil, and a book cover. The students also enjoyed breakfast and lunch.
